Introduction

This lesson addresses the mass assign homeroom utilities that are found on the lower half of the Mass Assign Home Rooms by Period screen and the Mass Entry feature.

The mass assign utilities perform the following functions:

• Copy homerooms from one semester to another semester
• Copy students from one homeroom to another

These utilities can be used in conjunction with the mass assign homerooms by grade and by period features covered in other lessons.

In addition to mass assign utilities, this lesson addresses how to mass enter homerooms individually by student.

Objectives

At the completion of this lesson, you will be able to:

• Identify the purpose of the homeroom mass assignment utilities
• Populate Homerooms in Homeroom Maintenance for Semester 1 and Semester 2
• Assign students to a second semester homeroom that is the same as the first semester homeroom
• Mass enter Homerooms individually by student
• Identify access paths to the utilities and mass homeroom entry screens
• Identify the process to validate the results of the mass assignment utilities
