Scenario

Your school administrators have decided to use the specific period attendance method for taking daily attendance in your school. The School Details screen Attendance Type setting has been modified to Specific Period and the period for attendance has been identified.

NC WISE supports specific period, daily, and period attendance in the eSIS software. While specific period can be used, it is not the recommended best practice for schools.

In specific period attendance, if a student is absent for the period specified for attendance taking, then the student is considered absent for the entire day.
